Following on from ‘Corrupting Fist‘ last week, Stevenage punks Bad Breeding have unveiled their new track ‘Remembering’.
“We watched Amy Bergโs documentary ‘Deliver Us from Evil’ a while back and Iโd also been moved by this investigative piece called Crime and Punishment by Zhao Liang,” frontman Christopher Dodd offers as an explanation. “It got us thinking about the manipulation and misuse of institutional power, but also about the endurance of humanity that often shines through when people are damaged by the rapacity of those in positions of supposed authority.”
“In some ways it’s an examination of impropriety from religious, financial and political cliques, as well as some of our own personal struggles, which we wanted to offset against a defiant thud. It was definitely a bleak thing to write, although there’s plenty of fortitude in the song too.”
The new track arrives ahead of the band’s UK dates later this month.
