Axes have announced that they will playing a charity fundraiser along with Delta Sleep and Death & The Penguin at The Islington in London on the 19th December.
The band states:
“Our buddy and math-rock legend Dan Wild-Beesley of Cleft and GUG fame is currently battling two brain tumours and needs to raise £50,000 for treatment that isn’t available on the NHS. The treatment is based in Istanbul and has an 80% success rate of getting cancer patients into remission. There have been loads of amazing fundraising initiatives already, helping Dan raise over £30,000 so far. Let’s help him smash his target!”
Advance tickets for the show cost £12 and are available via Dice FM. You can find more info here.
The latest release from Axes is their 2014 album ‘Glory’ on Big Scary Monsters, whilst Delta Sleep released their debut album ‘Twin Galaxies’ in 2015 via Big Scary Monsters (UK) and To Lose La Track (IT).
As for London alt rockers Death & the Penguin, last year they released their sophomore EP ‘Eine Klein Granatenmusik’.
