The band said the following about the track:
“The first song from our new record is streaming on the homepage now. It feels like a long time since we put out the seven inch last year so thank you for your patience while we got this record together and recorded it.
This song was the last song we completed for the album so it still feels the newest when we practice and play it out, but truth is that the core parts of this song have been around since before PJ and Joe joined the band, when me and Josh practiced in the box room of our house near Victoria Park in Hackney on a quietened drum set that barely fit in the room next to a pile of amps that just crept over the volume of the kit. Since then it’s been changed up a lot and practiced as a four piece, but we’ve never had words for it despite having played it across three years or more while other songs have been started and finished in the meantime. As we were getting close to recording the record, the whole thing quickly fell together in a matter of days, undergoing another batch of changes and rapidly getting demoed and completed just before we headed into the wilderness to record with Pete Miles.”
