From the GCF mailout: “It is with much sorrow and deep regret that we announce that SHOOTIN’ GOON, the quasi-legendary ska-punk band from Cardiff, are splitting up. The band has been together for over 6 years, had over 20 members, released three recordings and toured the UK and Europe. The Goon will play a final show on May 16th at Clwb Ifor Bach, Cardiff, with special guests to be announced. They also play a selection of dates around the UK in April and May. A spokesman for the band said “What? I can’t talk – I’m late for work. I’ll phone you on my break.” “
