Having stretched right across the globe, Luxembourg is the latest nation to be represented on PT as Versus You‘ new release gets the reviewing treatment. Although the band’s Jawbreaker influence is worn heavily on sleeve, there’s a certain Ataris feel here too – certainly in the band’s older ‘…Anywhere But Here’ days. At 14 songs long this is a little on the lengthy side, so while the likes of ‘Magnets’ and ‘Toothpicks’ sound jolly good, by the time you get round to ‘Artschool Dropout’ you;re beginning to lose the war of attrition. In small doses this isn’t too bad an album – it just begins to sound a bit repetitive and samey over time.
