I’m kind of intrigued rather than impressed by Twenty Six feet. There’s a ‘Kid A’-era Radiohead influence here, with samples, impassioned vocals and dance-esque beats all going on in the midst of some atmospheric electronica. To be honest, it’s not really PT-related music at all, yet it’s pulled off with enough vigour and panache to entertain little old me for a few minutes. I’m not really sure where to start because there’s a hell of a lot going on here over the course of six tracks and more than 32 minutes, although ‘Swans and Cholera’ is a very interesting prospect and goes to show there’s a hell of a lot of talent here. I’m a bit bemused, confused and bewildered by it all, yet it’s still a bit special. Check it, innit.
