Thomas’ Apartment – Tuesday Night Lights

By paul

Thomas’ Apartment are originally from Vietnam but appear to have moved to LA in a bid to take over the world. While they’re big in their homeland, I can’t possibly imagine this record, the band’s third, will do anything other than send the world to sleep. ‘Tuesday Night Lights‘ is mid-tempo plodder after mid-tempo plodder, devoid of any kind of hooks, emotion, passion…or anything of any interest at all. The title track, which I understand is also the first single, is so passionless and tuneless the word boring would be a compliment. It just drifts along aimlessly with such a weak lead vocal I’d rather walk up to the singer and punch him straight in the face to try and provoke a reaction. If you take bands like 30 Seconds To Mars and strip away the choruses, big sounding production and the passion (and yeah, I don’t think 30STM have much behind them either) and you’ve got Thomas’ Apartment.

Something tells me they’re about to get evicted…
