The Waiting Game – Demo One

By paul

There’s a definite Hot Water Music/None More Black influence to The Waiting Game‘s music, and that’s very much a good thing. Although the poor recording quality of ‘Taste The Waste’ slightly lets the side down, the other three tracks are top quality and show a very promising future indeed. While the guitar intro of ‘Battleships’ sounds like a Billy Talent song, the general level of musicianship is high, the vocals are strong and distinctive and the band look as though they’re on the right lines. I, for one, would love to hear more – and that suggests this demo has done its job well.
