The Unready – Miranda

By paul

Croydon pop punkers The Unready focus heavily on melodies and harmonies and show promise, even if this EP is not quite the finished article. ‘River Says Run’ is a good little song but horrendously recorded. If you forget the production it’s a good little tune, but whichever ‘studio’ they used…well, I hope they didn’t pay. The other three songs are of much better quality so I can only assume they were recorded in a difference place. Unfortunately those songs aren’t quite as catchy or of the same quality. So it’s a bit of a Catch 22 at this stage, although there’s enough promise here to suggest the band are on their way up, rather than down.
