The Guys – Live The Party

By paul

It’s amazing the bilge record labels will serve up sometimes, and The Guys are proof that ‘have trend, will release’ is surely the motto of some bastard imprints. The Guys sound like they recorded this in a dumpster back in 1963 – it’s got that horrendous throwback feel to it which, alongside some godawful songs, makes this one to avoid. The jangly guitar tones make me want to skip tracks with an alarming frequency, while the vocalist screech their way across 12 horrendous tunes. I know this review is short and sharp, but hopefully it mirrors the punishment everyone involved with releasing this record should receive from their crimes against humanity. In a word, crap. In two words, total crap.
