I know we’re all adults, but Dirty Burds vocalist Jiggy can’t half swear. Potty-mouthed, her band’s punk rock sound may well come straight out of the early 80s, but as limited as it sounds it doesn’t come off too badly. The basic ‘Too Short’ and ‘Sick Bitch’ sound not too dissimilar from when The Donnas were a punk band and hadn’t discovered Rimmel or their label’s clothing allowance. As a result, the lyrics are basic and the riffs stick to a simple scheme, but the odd guitar solo is thrown in for good measure. The Dirty Burds probably top everything on the politely named ‘Fuck Off’, a song that kind of sums up their ‘fuck you’ attitude. It’s not big and it’s not clever, but it ain’t that bad either…
