The Bled – / Alexisonfire split 7″

By paul

In all fairness I don’t really think I need to say too much about this 7″ because the music does the talking. The Bled and Alexisonfire are two of the hottest US hardcore bands around right now, gaining plaudits and press from appreciate hacks across the world. The former’s ‘Pass the Flask’ record is intense and hugely rewarding, while the latter’s first record may be more melodic, but is just as aggressive and emotional. In short, both bands are sweet as fuck.

This two-track limited edition vinyl release will either wet your apetite for more, or leave you positively salivating at the prospect of new material. The Bled‘s ‘Ruth Buzzi Better Watch her Back’ is a crucnhy little bugger, all exploding guitars and ripping vocals, while Alexisonfire are a tad less pissed off with ‘Counterparts And Number Them’ – although only a tad. Both tracks are two of the better efforts from their full length albums; both of which I rate very highly. This split is limited to 750 copies and is on purple vinyl. If you’re a collector this is a must. If you’re a fan of either band, this is a must. If you like heavy music, this is a must. Sheesh, this is just a must buy. Capiche?
