When I saw Selladore had a former Violent Delight member in their ranks, I really didn’t expect too much. But with an ex-member of Vex red also swelling the ranks, you’d be a fool to write off this London quintet. With basslines searing from your speakers, this three-piece have enough musical nous about them to have Kerrang! labelling them the next big thing sometime this side of summer. Huge choruses, crunching, yet melodic, guitar riffs and vocals like a massive bootprint to the jacksie, Selladore don’t need any more than three tracks to make their arrival well known.
‘Slave’ takes a few seconds to get going, but once it does it marks its arrival in fine style. While the other two tracks don’t hit these heady heights, both – ‘Clarity’ especially – hint at very big things. Although their myspace suggests Selladore are unsigned, I really cannot think this will remain the case for too long. With a clutch of strong songs already, the future looks very bright indeed.
