I can’t say I’m an expert at this type of music because it’s not a style I listen to all that often. But I have an ear for a tune and it’s not difficult to realise that Romeo Must Die are only not talented, but also very, very good musicians. While this type of music has gone very mainstream recently with bands like Bring Me The Horizon taking a poppier version into the pages of Kerrang!, RMD play a more brutal version that remains a sense of melody, even in amongst all the chaos. The vocals shred, the riffs rip your ears apart and the songs are all to a high standard. I won’t try and bluff my way through a review any longer because I’ll get found out, but ‘No faith Yet’ would make a perfect Guitar Hero IV song to play along to. They should get on it – and you should get onto this record.
