I’m always the first to admit when I’m out of my depth review-wise and the metallic hardcore genre is not one I’m particularly au fait with. But even so, and I’ll apologise to Victory and its legions of Aiden fans in the process, Ringworm make the Seattle Misfits-worshippers sound a joy to listen to. It’s all duh-duh-duh detuned riffs and other ungodly noises and, for my little ears, a horrible mess. I’m sure it makes sense to someone, somewhere, but to me it’s just a load of brutal noise.
