Porpoise – III

By paul

When the first song of an EP starts off with a group of men kind of, well, howling and barking, you can surely be forgiven for thinking you should have taken that morning’s pills after all. Porpoise are a completely bizarre combination and these three tracks are silly, stupid and downright weird in equal measure. I can’t make out if the band are serious or a joke – which I guess is probably the point – but when you’re faced with a semi catchy opening track called ‘Dogs Dogs Dogs Dogs’ which actually half resembles a tune and half a complete mess I guess it’s difficult to really know what to think. Porpoise are weird. Oddly entertaining, but very, very weird.
