Panic – Circles

By paul

This is hardcore as it should be. Fast, furious and over in the blink of an eye. It’s Panic‘s first release in 3 years and first since reforming late last year and while this is just 11 minutes in length, it does showcase what the hardcore scene has been missing. Formerly on Bridge Nine, and now on Reflections, this record is one for hardcore fans only. It’s not bad, but for me (someone who likes the poppier end of things), it’s not massively accessible. Hard-hitting and aggressive yes, but with a touch of the Agnostic Fronts going on, this is heavy stuff. ‘Rise’ is the track easiest to get into, but the whole thing is over so quick it doesn’t leave any time for you to not like it. As I say, one for hardcore fans for sure.
