NeverShoutNever! is the project of young Missouri native Christofer Drew, who has become an instant online success with over 50,000-55,000 MySpace plays per day. Coming across as a more contemporary The Rocket Summer, complete with blips and beeps, NSN! are a reasonable prospect if a little obvious and generic. It’s catchy and likeable enough, but not as much as similar bands in the genre. TRS, The Format and All American Rejects are all far, far superior acts and young Christofer has a long way to go if he is going to catch up with his peers. That said, ‘Here Goes Nothin” is a tune and if he can crank up the melodies and the strength of his choruses, NeverShoutNever! could be singing ‘yipee’ a lot more often in the future.
