ManPlayingKazoo – Black and White and Grey

By paul

I’m not entirely sure why Man Playing Kazoo sent us ‘Black and White and Grey’ to review, seeing as though they’re a self-proclaimed rock band who draw influence from bands like Frank Zappa and Muse. To me they sound like a Mancunian version of The Killers – for me, not an entirely delectable form of aural entertainment. Because they don’t exactly fall into PT territory, I shall keep this brief. This three-tracker is well produced, but isn’t my kind of thing. The vocals seem off in places, especially during the first track, and the drumming maybe isn’t as solid or inventive as some of their peers. Still, it’s not really my kind of music and I’m probably not the best judge. Two stars from me I’m afraid chaps.
