Considering they only formed in 2010, LOST BOYS have certainly been busy – recording this four track EP, a music video to promote stand-out track ‘Tired and Lonely’ and setting themselves up with a pretty busy touring schedule.
Featuring ex-members of DissolvedIN, Lost Boys play a melodic brand of post-hardcore, similar to Glassjaw, Funeral for a Friend and heavier Finch but less poppy and with more metal-twinged guitars, giving them a slightly heavier sound than their peers. The production is top-notch, with the down-tuned guitars chuggy and the fast, mechanically complex drums pounding the songs along with real aggression, showcasing some outstanding musicianship throughout the four tracks. Despite being less poppy than some of their influences, the songs are surprisingly catchy, particularly the afore-mentioned video track ‘Tired And Lonely’. With some heavy touring and well-chosen support slots, these guys could build up quite a following.
