Goatorcycle – Fuck ’em if they can’t take a joke

By paul

Goatorcycle are a Somerset based three-piece who play a kind of old-skool influenced punk rock with plenty of twiddly solos. It doesn’t sound like the best mix, but it’s actually pulled off (oo-er) with vigour. Keeping with daft names, the band sing about fisting people and having a goat moustache. As you do. Still, despite the silly lyrical content, these songs are performed with a shedload of talent. ‘Welsh Bitter’ is fast and furious, while ‘The Coming of the Lord’ has a catchy melody even if the subject matter is a little, well, odd. So yeah, this review is short and sweet, but I can’t think of anything more to say other than check Goatorcycle out if you like your punk rock to be catchy, heavy and very, very fast…
