Forever The Sickest Kids – Television Off, Party On

By paul

OK, you heard it here first. Forever The Sickest Kids are officially the next big thing. Seriously.

Infact I’m gobsmacked they’re not already the next big MySpace backed hype. Pissing on HelloGoodbye from a big height and every bit as kooky and fun as Motion City Soundtrack, FTSK are already signed up to Universal and are seriously destined for massive things. While Forever The Sickest Kids play the exact same FOB-lite brand of pop-punk, scattered with natty synths of course, as every other band right now, they do it with the melodies turned up to 11. They’re seriously catchy, as catchy as any new pop-punk band I’ve heard in a while, and each of the 5 songs on this limited edition EP will hang around like a bad smell for days.

If ‘Believe Me I’m Lying’ doesn’t get you, ‘Becky Starz’ will. And seriously, ‘I Don’t Know About You, But I Came To Dance’ is an emo kid’s wet dream. It’s the kind of song that will make you sing, scream, cry and dance. At the same time. It’s like a little bundle of joy wrapped up in 3 minutes and 20 seconds of an aural orgasm. The crux of the matter is by the summer of 2008 this lot will be Fall Out Boy big. So get on board now before your little brother or sister goes to see them at the local arena…
