If you take a long at the gothic artwork and the rather spooky looking back cover photo, you could be mistaken for thinking Fall Victim were a dodgy AFI/Alkaline Trio cover band or, worse still, some kind of terrifying hardcore goth band. The truth is the band are neither, yet they’re still painfully average. And I don’t really know how to describe them either – they switch from poppy-punk moments on ‘Just A Bad Memory’ to Living End-esque basslines on the better-than-average ‘Three Steps’. yet throughout I’m just left think this is painfully average – obvious chord progressions, ok vocals and some really plodding drums. There’s little new, little excitement and it would appear Fall Victim could easily fade into the obscurity created by the other million mediocre bands that walk the planet.
