Easton – S/T EP

By paul

The world needs good pop-punk bands. A good singalong keeps the world ticking over, it makes life so much better. Easton are a very poppy, pop-punk band. They focus their sound around vocal melodies and to be fair they do it reasonably well. More Simple Plan than New Found Glory, they have a twee side to their sound that reminds me of The Rocket Summer, albeit without a piano. ‘Rewind Today’ is a decent tune, as is ‘The End of All Seasons’. And while it’s unlikely Easton will change your life, they do the basics well and will be a band worth keeping an eye on.
