Das Oath – Das Oath 2007

By paul

Where do I start? Seven songs, 10 minutes – sounds like two aircraft colliding in midair. This is dischordant, aggressive punk rock with a “fuck you” attitude that spits bile at every opportunity. It’s a record that refuses to conform to the genre rulebook, a record that takes its own style and makes sure the substance outweighs the posteuring that too many bands place above quality. It’s brash, noisy and boy, it’s fucking loud. there’s an attitude here that’s inherently punk rock, making it one of the most ‘punk’ releases I’ve heard in ages. And anyway, ‘All The Songs Have Been Sung’ is a tune. In a tuneless way. Excellent stuff.
