Crash Romeo – …Gave Me The Clap

By paul

What do you get if you cross Simple Plan with some really bland and uninspiring songs devoid of any kind of energy or passion? Crash Romeo, that’s what – a band so horribly cliched and bland I actually feel sick listening to them. If you play pop-punk you need to be catchy and you need to be fun and you need to have some kind of bounce-ability, that x-factor which makes you stick out from the pack. Crash Romeo only stick out for being absolute toss. They make Simple Plan look like The Beatles and that says it all.

This record is just predictable and boring. The songs all sound the same, the riffs are weak and predictable and the vocals are so auto-tuned it’s unreal. The songs simply washed over me – the album’s title track is about as catchy as it gets but even then it sounds like a Simple Plan b-side. There’s no swagger, no energy…eurgh. I feel like I’ve got the clap after listening to this dross.
