I hate slagging off young bands but sometimes they just need to be told. This EP is dreadful. The vocals are out of tune and the singer can barely hold a note. The screams are forced ad predictable and totally unneeded. There’s no power or energy in the vocals and the lyrics don’t seem to make any sense either. And that’s just a synopsis of the first two minutes of track 1.
The problem this band have is that every single morsel of this CD is painstakingly average. Well, it’s below average. The riffs are ripped off loads of other bands, except it’s played far, far slower. There’s no passion, no spark burning to make me actually feel like I believe the band are honest about what they do. The songs plod along rather aimlessly around some of the most basic riffs and drum patterns I’ve heard in a long time. They simply sound like the band you hear in your local pub on a weekend who bring 20 or 30 of their mates and proclaim themselves as the next big thing.
At times they sound like Bush. And they were big in the 90s. Says it all…
