I have no idea why Rig Up Explosive decided to change their name to Blitz Kids; I thought RUX was a decent name to begin with, there have been no member changes as far as I can tell and the music is the same style as before. Strange. Still, if you’ve followed RUX and enjoyed them previously, you’ll love them as BK.
‘Decisions’ is their best work to date, containing their five best songs yet. Every single element of every single song is meticulously put together. They sound like Lostprophets massacring about seven other different bands, writing and recording songs that are choppy, interesting and catchy. ‘The Thief: The Rogue, The Matador’ could be the pick of the bunch, but then picking out the best song is like choosing your favourite child. Each has strong and weak points, but ultimately you just can’t make that judgement call.
However you do it, make sure you give these songs a spin. Exciting, refreshing and ambitious – and if they keep growing at this rate good things will be on the horizon.
