Blatant Finger – Eight for the Road

By paul

Ohio’s Blatant Finger describe themselves as ‘4 grown men trying to disguise their alcoholism with a band’, which about sums them up nicely. Playing Social Distortion-esque pop punk there’s a booze-fueled fun on this 8 tracker, which includes two covers. One of those covers, ‘Every Rose Has Its Thorn’ (yes, that song) is a riot. ‘Lost Cause’ sums the band up rather nicely and is a two-minute chunk of throwaway scuzzy punk rock goodness and if you like the sound of that, don’t give the band a finger – give them a spin instead.
