Samples! at the disco. Well everyone’s doing it, so why not Amoki? To be fair, this mob sound nothing like P!ATD, instead coming across like a Pitchshifter or a post-hardcore band more akin to a few uncontrollable manic bits. Manic! At The Disco maybe? So yeah, they sound like Pitchshifter. Now I don’t really care too much for those boys, so I guess my own thoughts on Amoki are slightly tainted by the fact I’m not really too clued up on this kind of music. On the upside, I listened through several times and didn’t want to switch it off. On the other side, I didn’t ever want to sing along and I don’t think I’ll ever listen again. However, make up your own mind – if you’re a Pitchshifter fan you could well like this lot.
