It’s been around 18 months since ‘Collapse’ came out and very little has changed when it comes to my views on Across Five Aprils. ‘Life Underwater 1’ chugs away with a really fun riff, while ‘I Am The Polar Bear’ is an aggressive little beast with a beast of a riff and some smart vocals. ‘Life Underwater’ is a decent album, it’s just nothing we haven’t heard dozens of times before. And while that doesn’t make liking this record wrong, I’d just like to hear a little more variation from bands of this type in the future. The genre is heavily saturated after all…
