A New Day – Perfect Passion

By paul

One way to make your demo stand out from the huge review pile I have in a draw in my office is to include your bio as a very special homemade comic. It’s little touches like that which make reviewers want to listen to your handmade CD-R and give you a decent review. Unfortunately for A New Day their bio is better than their music, but only just. Drawing influence from aggressive bands such as A Static Lullaby and The Bronx they race through six passionate tracks of energetic screaming punk rock which don’t quite hit the spot. ‘A1 B2 C3’ is a very good tune, really hard-hitting and to the point, but the others, for all the aggressive bravado, don’t quite reach the parts tracks like this should reach – they’re not hard enough to not require melody and the melodies aren’t quite strong enough to pull the songs through. Still, an undoubted talent and ones to wach I’m sure.
