I feel like a broken record when I review records like this. ‘It feels like 2004 blah blah blah’. I think “screamo”, for want of a better description, is the new nu-metal and the eighth and ninth generation bands currently peddling their wares are just making it die a death even faster. If you like Will Haven and a stack of dark hardcore bands from the early 21st Century you will almost certainly enjoy this EP. But I didn’t really ‘get’ that type of music five years ago and I don’t really get it now. Musical genres have evolved over the last few years but some bands seem to be stuck in the past. A Dark Orbit, for me, would have been better had they first come to light a few years ago.
