It was the first time the Big 4 had ever played a UK festival, and the Metallica @ Sonisphere 2011 The last of the big 4, METALLICA, took to the stage at this year’s Sonisphere festival to close off the friday night in a blinding sea of lights and sounds and fire and metal. Slayer @ Sonisphere SLAYER, third of big 4, and one of Punktastic’s favourite bands ever to be a band ever, got the Friday crowd at Sonisphere buzzing later in the evening with an hour of crushing thrash. Megadeth @ Sonisphere The second of the Big 4, Megadeth, brought the housedown on the Friday of this year’s Sonisphere festival on the main stage. Anthrax @ Sonisphere ANTHRAX, first of the appearing thrash royalty of the Big 4, followed Diamond Head to take on the main stage on the Friday of this year’s Sonisphere Festival.
