There’s a Hit The Lights vibe (and not just in the EP title), as well as nods to bands like The Starting Line, Fall Out Boy and even the ‘Gambling’-era Blacktop UK – This Is Ground Zero When coming up with a name, bands really need to do their research. A quick Google search suggests there’s a German three-piece called Blacktop (they look a bit like a more balding ZZ Top), a ‘hyper, energetic punk band’ from Pennsylvania (who have been going since 2002), Thomas’ Apartment – Tuesday Night Lights Thomas’ Apartment are originally from Vietnam but appear to have moved to LA in a bid to take over the world.
