With a brass section and plenty of past-paced riffs, they’re almost skate-punk with horns rather than skacore. They will play on both the main stage (Between Aiden and Wolfmother) and the Lock up stage (between Millencolin and Alexisonfire)” Hostage Life – Sing for the Enemy Seven songs, 18 minutes…this is more like it. Hostage Life come from the same Canadian background as Closet Monster and Protest the hero and they play a caustic-humoured melodic hardcore in the mould of a Dillinger Four or Forever Changed – Chapters The last time I reviewed Forever Changed, I said they sounded a hell of a lot like Further Seems Forever. ‘Chapters’, their brand new album, hasn’t changed my opinion. ‘Refusal’ is so FSF-lite that you’d be hard pushed to distinguish the Elena City – Romance Is…Pt1 Sing like you mean it. That’s the best advice I could give any singer really; reach down into your lungs and bellow it out.
