You’ve got to love it when bands, or their press writers, use some unusual genre title to describe the band then call them the best in that genre, when in reality it’s nothing largely different from anything else getting pedalled around. Me, bitter? Nah. NAKED TWISTER are The Kimberly Steaks – Demo The first thing to strike me about this demo is that the eight tracks clock in at a mere twelve minutes and thirty six seconds, with the longest track not even reaching two minutes forty and the shortest track only lasting thirty Tiny Elvis are fucking dead Submitted by Liam of Tiny Elvis: “Adam our second guitarist has left the band to join The Hurt Process, he thought it was the best move for his musical career, we’re all still friends and wish him well, timed with this we have changed the bands name Bohica – No Apologies Bohica come from Guildford and started up in 2002. They bring a strong, ballsy melodic rock sound to the ballpark, which throws in elements of hardcore, punk…even a bit of the dreaded emo maybe too. Firefly has split up since sending this demo in. I don’t know the reasons why, but if I’m perfectly honest then I don’t think too many people will cry and mourn the loss. ‘Everyone’s A Winner’ is their parting ‘gift’ to the world, a badly recorded 12-track OnOff – The Last Laugh Rule one of sending in a demo – always send in the tracklisting. It makes it so much easier to distinguish the songs that way. Like duh. OnOff failed to do that, making it difficult to associate names with the 12-track album they sent in for review.
