Tickets for this special gig, taking place next Wednesday, 21 August, will be available here from 5pm on Friday 16 August, and they’re sure to go quickly, so don’t hang about. Widely credited with being a major influence not just on modern punk rock but also the burgeoning emo movement of the time, this is the band’s first concert outside of North America since re-uniting to triumphantly headline the 2017 version of Riot Fest in Chicago.

The show will be a celebration of the Life and Art of Caleb Scofield, who sadly passed away earlier this year.

Cave In’s Stephen Brodsky says: “The UK holds countless memories of crazy times with Cave In, and we’re more than excited for our first London show in 10+ years. It will be our pleasure to give the good people of England a chance to celebrate the life and art of Caleb Scofield, by offering a partial donation of proceeds from that night to the Scofield family. We hope that you’ll join us and our close friends Old Man Gloom, as well as one of your finest musical exports Bossk, for this very special occasion.”

The band announced their decision via social media with the following statement:

“We regret to announce that we will no longer be continuing as a band. We will be honouring all existing dates and we will be announcing a farewell London show soon. This has been a difficult decision for us but ultimately we can’t keep things going with mostly our own finances any longer. We wanted to continue and the constant rumours of people being interested and wanting to help us take this further which never materialised plus the many setbacks we’ve taken on the chin over the years have taken their toll. We wish this wasn’t the end because we felt we had so much more to give and if we would have had that financial input and the touring opportunities then who knows what we could have achieved but it wasn’t meant to be. These have been some of the best years of our lives and we thank everyone who has supported us. We will give these last shows every ounce of ourselves as we always have. May we present to you – You Me At Shish.

On October 5th, the release date of the band’s sixth album – aptly named ‘VI’ – You Me At Six will host an evening filled with ‘VI’ themed vegan food, an acoustic set, DJs, and a whole load of dancing.

The band’s front man, Josh Franceschi, has long since raved about his love for London’s Temple of Seitan, and so the collaboration has been a long time coming. And there’s no better excuse to make that happen than a brand new album.

The album’s release and this wonderful, delicious event come prior to a massive tour in support of both the new album and the ten-year anniversary of You Me At Six’s debut album, ‘Take Off Your Colours’.

Doors open at 6 (obviously), and spaces are offered on a first-come first-served basis.
