Further to the announcement yesterday of European Ten Foot Pole dates, we at PT are keeping to our promise that we will keep you posted by telling you they are to release a new album too. Speaking about it, long time frontman Dennis Jagard has said:
“I never doubted that I’d get back into it at some point – I just needed a break. Once you’ve experienced a crowd singing along to the songs you wrote, it’s hard to imagine just walking away from the chance to do it again.”

They will be releasing their first album in ten years on Cyber Tracks in 2015 and Dennis has said:
“It’s too early in the process to limit or define what’s going to come out, but I think it’s safe to say that fans can expect candid, sincere, honest and outrageous lyrics matched with some aggressive music, a few well-placed stops, and generous helpings of pick slides and feedback.”

Excellent news.

Never officially splitting up but virtually inactive since 2004’s ‘Subliminable Messages’, this PT writer was surprised to see the news that Skate Punk 90s pseudo-legends Ten Foot Pole are back – and touring Europe in the summer after some US dates. Sadly, it doesn’t seem there will be any UK dates, but hopefully it will lead to recordings and more. You can see the dates over at https://www.facebook.com/tenfootpole/app_123966167614127.

I thought this show was going to be at the bigger downstairs venue so after a nasty shock which involved a near miss with almost walking straight into an INME gig after a bastard three and a half drive to London I was more than a little bemused. The said drive (or crawl along the M25 as it were) led me to missing the opening band, PHINIUS GAGE which was a right pain in the proverbials. Sorry guys.

However I did just about arrive in time for FOUR SQUARE, TFP
