Free Throw – ‘Randy, I Am The Liquor’

These chaps hit the UK and Europe for a huge run, taking in every corner of the continent. Absolutely fantastic, widdly emo. The new record ‘Bear Your Mind’ is out now on Triple Crown Records.

Stone – Lost On You

Featuring ex-members of Expire, Stone have been picked up by Pure Noise Records. A new record and heavy touring are on their way. Bang your head!

Spanish Love Songs – ‘Joana, in Five Acts’

This punk rock quintet from Los Angeles are heading to Europe this April and May, following an extensive tour in North America. A new record is on its way too, through A-F Records and Uncle M. Expect more huge melodies!

Prince Daddy & The Hyena – ‘Really?’

‘Really?’ is taken from the US indie/punks’ record, ‘I thought You Didn’t Even Like Leaving’. December saw the band complete a full US tour with Mom Jeans and Kississippi. Europe this year, maybe?

Surf Dads – ‘Fall Apart’

I totally judged a book by it’s cover here, but in a good way. The artwork for ‘All Day Breakfast’ is awesome, which made me think, this has to be good. Fantastic, chilled indie/punk rock vibes.

Tellison – ‘Boy’

Tellison are one of the most underrated bands in the UK, it’s great to see that they will be back on the road in April, including an appearance at Manchester Punk Festival.

Templeton Pek – ‘Sirens’

The Brum-punks are gearing up for the release of their fifth studio album in 10 years. ‘Sirens’ is another great slice of melody driven, anthemic punk rock.

The Steal – ‘Breakout’

It’s been about 10 years since The Steal called it a day. One of the UK’s finest punk/hardcore bands. If you never knew, go back and dig in to their back catalogue. You won’t regret it!

Baggage – ‘The Good That Never Comes’

Formed out of the ashes of The Swellers, the Flint Michigan quartet have released two EP’s of incredible melodic punk rock. It’s infectious and will be rattling around your head for days.

Pup – ‘Sleep In The Heat’

After just passing through the UK, on tour with The Menzingers, Pup have reminded everyone why they are currently one of the most exciting bands in the world. ‘The Dream Is Over’ is out now on Side One Dummy.

“You’ll all know Alcopopalooza as the Feel Good Event of the Summer. Well this time it’s the Feel Warm Event of the Winter,” Alcopop! Records announced, “as we aim to make January less crap. The full line up and sparkly poster will follow oh so shortly with an epic full line up – but we got too excited and had to tell you about this…”

Tickets, priced at 8 quid, are available now. Full details are available via Facebook.

Taken from their ‘Hope Fading Nightly’ LP, ‘Wrecker’ follows singles ‘Tact Is Dead’ and ‘Boy’, and will see release on the 11th December through Alcopop! Records.

“‘Wrecker’ is an autobiographical song about breaking things, relationships, people,” front man Stephen Davidson explains. “It’s a letter to the past, an admission of guilt and an apology all rolled into one. It’s about the quiet violence that carelessness and lack of action can wreak on relationships. How people can slowly fall out of love over months and years through a thousand tiny failures to care, to pay attention to one another, to remember why you fell in love in the first place.”

In true Tellison and Alcopop! Records style, the band have also released 4 bespoke bowling shirts. All are handmade, and finished with a Alcopop! Bowling Congress patch of 2015. They also also individually monogrammed, and don a ‘Wrecker’ insignia.

If that wasn’t enough, Tellison are also hitting the road in March and April 2016. Phew.
