First acts for Download 2019 released

Download Festival have announced that Tool, Def Leppard and Slipknot will be headlining the festival next year, making it Tool’s first return to the festival since topping the bill in 2006. Def Leppard will be playing their album ‘Hysteria’ in full at the festival, which will be their only UK appearance in 2019.

Along with these headliners, Download also announced the following bands will be playing at next years festival.

Me First and the Gimme Gimmes share Kris Kristofferson cover

Me First and the Gimme Gimmes recently released their cover of Kris Kristofferson’s ‘For the Good Times’ at New Noise Magazine.

This previously unreleased track from the punk cover supergroup’s ‘Love Their Country’ recording sessions will be available on an exclusive flexi 7″ as part of this month’s issue of New Noise. It follows their best of compilation, ‘Rake It In: The Greatest Hits’, which was released last month on Fat Wreck Chords.

Comprised of members from NOFX, No Use for a Name, Foo Fighters and Lagwagon, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes are now streaming their upcoming best of compilation, ‘Rake It In: The Greatest Hits’, at Brooklyn Vegan.

The cover punk rock supergroup will be releasing the record this Friday 7th April via Fat Wreck Chords.

Me First and the Gimme Gimmes have digitally shared their rare version of Willie Nelson’s ‘City of New Orleans’ for the first time at Alternative Press.

Originally the song was only available on a limited 7″. It will now be featured on the punk cover supergroup’s upcoming best of compilation, ‘Rake It In: The Greatest Hits’. This will be released on the 7th April through Fat Wreck Chords.

Sweet Little Machine to join Me First and the Gimme Gimmes and Masked Intruder on UK dates

Sheffield pop punks Sweet Little Machine have been announced that they will be joining Me First and the Gimme Gimmes and Masked Intruder on their UK dates next week.

The band released their debut EP ‘War’ last year.

Me First and the Gimme Gimmes announce best of album, ‘Rake It In: The Greatestest Hits’

Me First and the Gimme Gimmes have announced that they’ll be releasing a best of compilation featuring various songs from across their seven album discography.

Entitled ‘Rake It In: The Greatestest Hits’, the collection will be available on the 7th April via Fat Wreck Chords. Their last album was their 2014 effort, ‘Are We Not Men? We Are Diva!’.

The cover punk supergroup will also be playing a few UK shows with Masked Intruder later this month, the dates of which are listed below.
