Searching For Perfect, Latitude Blue
Yuk. This record sucks. If this isn't the perfect example of a band forgetting about the songs in order to create a 'product' rather than a record, I don't know what is. I have no idea who Latitude Blue are - there was no press release accompanying the disc or even a handwritten bio - all I know is they're on Bleeding Music. Well, my ears bled listening to this tripe. Imagine The Stone Roses brought back to life, kicking and screaming, let them mate with The Music and then rip all kind of musicianship away from the offspring and you have Latitude Blue.

Sure, if you like the sound of that then 'Searching For Perfect' may appeal but the truth is this mob will be searching for a lot longer before they impress me. With songs that scream of wannabe major label, they probably will go on to sell shitloads of records and be on MTV, but it's about as original as a rugby team collectively bearing their arses at female drivers on the way to games. Tracks like '1961' are crap and you can't polish a turd, so as thick as the production may be, a bad song is a bad song. So yeah, I've wasted several hours of my life on this garbage, unless you're a closet indie fan (or deaf) avoid like the plague.
