I was about to write this off simply because it's on Glasstone (in my opinion consistently one of the worst UK labels around right now), but I'm glad I listened. This self-titled record is as cliched and generic as most of the pap on that label, but this is done to an exceptionally high standard. The band originate from Austria but sound very, very American. While they claim to be influenced by A Wilhelm Scream and No Trigger - and there's certainly an element of that in the guitars - the band are more akin to Funeral For A Friend with a more tech side to their sound. 'A Static Blemish' is a very clean sounding song but one I could see on MTV2 or on the rock radio shows.

One Match For My Existence won't find too much time in my own CD player, but I'll give them credit when it's due and if you like FFAF, Atreyu and bands like that then this lot are pretty good and worth a listen. It's not particularly original but to a decent standard nonetheless.
