Rise of Agartha, The Hollow Earth Theory
I put this album on without really looking at who it was by and was stunned to realise this was actually by a young UK band and not a more established American outfit signed to Ferret or Victory. If you like metal-influenced hardcore in the vein of Bullet For My Valentine or slightly harder, then you will love this record. It's very, very good for what it is, arguably one of the best UK albums of it's type. And I'd be gobsmacked if the British media don't get behind this band on the basis of this album because it is very, very good. But it's just not my thing at all - while I can appreciate talent and spot a decent band a mile off, this type of music is just not something I enjoy o prefer to listen to and I can guarantee I'll never listen to this again. But, if you like early Funeral For A Friend and that type of stuff, you could do a lot, lot worse than to check this band out.
