Brooklyn Nightlife, Circus Circus
imageThis is quite impressive stuff. Circus Circus are not afraid to mix up the slightly odd with the more predictable and they get good results. Sounding like Blood Brothers fucking The Used they mix up some double time drumming and spazzy guitar riffs with vocal shouts and screams that, more often than not, have a really big melodic edge to them. It's not really what you'd expect, but it works really well. Circus Circus are fast, frenetic and a lot of fun.

If you like Trophy Scars you'll love this band; 'Amputee Ball' is a fucked up beast of aggression as guitar riffs shred and the vocals snarl. The production on this record is nigh on perfect as it sounds huge yet maintains a raw aggression which many bands lose during the recording process. 'Eden In Sweden', 'India' and 'Telephatic Chat' are all winners too as the band mix up the madness with the melodies to startling good effect.

If you're looking for something honest, raw, aggressive and fucking good you should pick this record up in double quick time.
