The Greatest of All Lost Arts, Lower Definition
imageLower Definition remind me of the likes of Finch and Glassjaw, although with a more melodic edge. Their vocalist sounds a little like Daryl Palumbo and a little like Jason Gleason (ex Further Seems Forever). It's a nice mix and while it should end up sounding stale, predictable and generic it doesn't. I can't put my finger on why it doesn't, but this record just hits the spot for me and is an unexpected pleasant surprise.

Tracks like 'To Satelite' and 'The Choreographer' are catchy and melodic yet hit hard, while even the slower, more predictable tracks have a solid edge to them. Although 'The Greatest of All Lost Arts' isn't as good as 'Worship and Tribute' or 'What It Is To Burn' it reminds me of Lovehatehero's last album which was, for me, massively underrated. Yes it's disposable and yes we've heard it all before, but this is a good record and one I think I shall be spinning for weeks to come.
