Everything On Red have a really diverse, rich sound. It's actually difficult to pick out influences because there's indie guitars, keys, synth and a whole host of other instrumentation which actually mix pretty well. The vocals are well thought out and the use of harmonies, especially on 'Absinthe Makes The Heart Grow Fonder' suggests a band who are extremely talented, even if their ideas don't always hit the mark. This four-track EP is quite brief but showcases a band full of good ideas and most of these are well executed. There are choruses, solid song structures and plenty of singalong moments. I'd heard of the band previously and wasn't that impressed but this is much, much better. Inventive and original without doing anything too new, EOR could be ones to watch.
