Find Yourself Here, The Scenic
imageIf you're looking for catchy, anthemic, disposable pop-punk then look no further than The Scenic. They're a slight curveball for Victory, a label usually involved in bands slightly heavier, but this is ultra poppy pop-punk as if The Rocket Summer married Boys Like Girls. Yep, it's that melodic. But still, the band write very catchy choruses which stick in your head for days and days and while they may not be the most original band around, you can't knock tunes like 'Hold Me Close' which are absolutely huge.

As a result it's fairly safe to suggest this band will blow up big in 08/09 - all they need is the lucky break the likes of BLG and We The Kings have had recently. The Scenic are every bit as good, if not better, and will undoubtedly develop a strong following. 'Armageddon' and 'Direction' are great pop songs and the band prove their knack for writing solid tracks when they bust out singalong efforts like 'Bon Voyage Mr. Bones'.

Be prepared because this album is very, very, very catchy. Easily the poppiest thing Victory have ever put out, this is one record that really could send the band to the next level.
