The First, The First
This mob are a frustrating bunch. In places they sound like world beaters, but then they tail off into Americanisms and sound like every other band around. When the band go off on one and throw in multiple layered vocals they sound great. But all too often it's a little borrowed and left me feeling a bit blue. There's nothing exactly band about the five tracks here - they tick all the right boxes - but there's a general lack of originality which the band don't make up by having a clutch of awesome songs. Good songs, yes. Awesome songs, no.

'The Ballad...' for example would be much better if the band pressed the accelerator down and went for it, rather than meandering through some heavily US influenced insepid pop punk. More Eve 6 than New Found Glory, there are plenty of people who will like this EP but plenty more who will have heard it all before.
