Out Of My Mind, The Erase-Hers
From the pictures and comedic biography of the band that came with the CD my hopes weren’t particularly high for the Erase-Hers’ short 3-tracker being worth a second play. To be honest, it wasn’t quite as bad as I expected. I mean, their biography describes them as “if Cyndi Lauper and Andrew WK had a love child” thank goodness that was wrong for start, but really, is there still time for a band that focuses around a large jolly man playing one setting on a synth?.. I’ll let you answer that yourself.

The Erase-Hers kind of remind me of that band Jerry Built from a few years back if they had a girl singer. You know, they had that really tall synth player who couldn’t really play very well and kind of danced in a very gangly sort of way… and that was before every band under the sun had synths…. There’s nothing new or particularly offensive on the eardrums and the three tracks on ‘Out Of My Mind’ only last just over 7 minutes so I can’t say too many bad things about them. If you enjoy light-hearted, synth-driven, girl-led pop then even this probably isn’t for you, but give it a go I might be wrong.
